It’s now official! We have welcomed Roma Foods Importing Co.’s Latham and Saratoga locations into the Cardona’s Market family.

Cardona’s Market has been serving the Albany community and beyond for over 75 years from our Delaware Avenue location.

With this new transition, we are so excited to welcome a new family of customers and want you all to know that while the name on the storefronts will change, what won’t is the level of customer service excellence that you loved about Roma’s.

We are committed to offering the highest quality products, engaging with and listening to our patrons, and providing the best customer service experience possible. We look forward to sharing our family traditions, homemade products, and passion for Italian food with you all!

An Important Message About Cardona’s Latham Market:

In case you haven’t heard the news, Cardona’s Latham market (located at 9 Cobbee Road) is undergoing a remodel. Construction is set to begin this week, with the “retail market” portion expecting to start the week of August 2nd.

During this time, we plan to remain open for most of the construction phases; however, the market will be at a limited capacity. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; we felt it was better to have some of the store open and available over the next three weeks, as opposed to being completely closed. A general schedule of the days we will be closed and/or departments with limited service is listed below.

As is often the case with construction projects, we may have to make last-minute adjustments to this schedule, but we hope that if/when we do, these will be limited and not too substantial of a change to the below.

We want to thank you in advance for your patience during these phases of construction— we’re confident that the results of the remodel will provide you all with an enhanced guest experience and ultimately be well-worth any inconvenience during this time.

  • Monday, August 2nd: Our Butcher Department will be closed, though we will do our very best to make as much of our offering, including all of the staples/most popular items, available for purchase in the retail portion of the market.
  • Tuesday, August 3rd: Our entire market will be closed.
  • Wednesday, August 4th – Sunday, August 22nd: We will operate the market in a limited space during these three weeks as we move/build a new upstairs kitchen.
    • The butcher department area will be completely open, as well as a third of the retail portion of the store connected to the butcher department.
      • Sandwiches, cold cuts, deli items, and the majority of our grocery items WILL be available during this time
    • The main entrance will not be available during this time; please use the Butcher department entrance.
    • Unfortunately we will be without the services of our kitchen during this time.
    • We DO plan to produce as much of our prepared food offering as possible out of our Albany store, including Catering orders and cold grab and go items; however, our short order and hot food bar will not be operational during this time.
  • Monday, August 23rd – Thursday, August 26th: Our entire market will be closed in preparation for our Grand Re-opening.
  • Friday, August 27th – Sunday, August 29th: Our Grand Re-Opening weekend!

Again, we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we make these much-needed updates and improvements to Cardona’s Latham market.
